As a full-time working mom, getting the clutter out of my life was instrumental to the morning get-three-kids-out-of-the-house routine. When everything has it's place, it makes it easier for the kids to get their own clothes and school items and helps avoid the "I can't find the other shoe!" calamity. Less family drama and avoiding some of the child meltdowns in the morning helps me show up to work more composed and less mentally scattered.
As an individual, I found that minimizing my wardrobe helps make getting ready for the day easier. As my husband and I looked around our house and saw boxes still full from our move six months before, it was hard to know where to start.
